VGM (Verified Gross Mass)
That is: the verified total weight of a container.
The International Maritime Organization (IMO) requires all export cargo containers to declare their VGM to reduce shipping safety accidents caused by overweight containers.
It has been officially implemented worldwide since July 1, 2016.
